2017 Great Winter Light Up

It's that time of year again; time to light up the Winter Woods! And that of course means decorating!
Here are some decoration ideas.

This is my personal favorite; it's a winter picture frame. It's very easy to make; you just frame a wintry picture. I decided to decorate the frame with paint, glitter and stickers. I chose the decorated Snowcap Glade because the Winter Wonderland Party honestly had some of the prettiest decorations and Snowcap Glade is my favorite winter meadow.

Countdown Board
This is also very easy. I put wintry scrapbooking paper in a frame and used a dry erase marker to count down until Christmas.

Snowflake Strings
For this craft, you'll be making the paper snowflakes you made in elementary school. I made them out of computer paper and pretty scrapbooking paper. Thread them through a string and tape them into place. You can also make similar strings using ornaments (made of templates and scrapbooking paper).

Other
Just add anything which reminds you of winter and the holidays. I'm adding pictures from previous Winter Wonderland parties as these decorations are just so pretty.


Remember the Great Winter Light Up in Pixie Hollow where the winter meadows were silent and you could hear the winter fairies working?

  The holiday season has begun with November! Events Week 1-The Pixie Hollow Games -Inspired by the mainland Olympics, the Pixie Hollow Games is held every four years. Each year, two members from each talent (not all participate every year) represent their guild in a series of events. The last place team after each event is eliminated. Fly with you Fairies! This month will be all about preparing for the holidays! We start with the Great Winter Light Up then celebrate the Winter Wonderland Party. Snowflake's Pixie Postings-March 2019

Before I proceed with this thing, I have an announcement to make! At around the dawn of the new year, I posted that I'd no longer be doing event posts here, only monthly horoscopes. So for the second half of 2017 and all of 2018, I did event related posts here in an inconsistent pattern, but for a few months I posted every week. I decided to stop the event blog posts because I've already done all the event nostalgia stuff and I was kind of bored of doing those things so frequently. But I realized that life needs more excitement and festivity. I've loved holidays as a child, and I still celebrate most of them even as a teenager. But some have faded away from excitement like Valentine's Day. At school I've overheard a few people complaining about how many holidays aren't as fun anymore.
