2018 Never Dove Egg Hunt

It's time for one of my favorite spring events; the Never Dove Egg Hunt! It's a time of  year to celebrate the Never Doves. Animal talents paint pebbles to look like Never Dove Eggs and hide them.

This time of year is great for painting your own eggs. What I do when dying eggs is paint them a certain color and draw something on them with a sharpie. Another "egg" cellent idea is cutting cardboard in the shape of eggs and using scrapbook paper or construction paper to decorate them. I decorated them after Pixie Hollow's eggs and put them all in a spring garland. Here are all the eggs Pixie Hollow had.

  • Spotted Egg-2009 to 2011
  • Striped Egg-2009 to 2011
  • Swirled Egg-2009 to 2011

So...now that we know a bit about the many egg designs the animal talents came up with, here are some outfits inspired by the first Never Dove Egg Hunt that are at Summit Style.

And here are some dye colors for outfit creating. They were the "Never Dove Egg" dyes in 2012 and they're all available on FairyABC.

  •  Mushroom White
  • Petal Pink
  • Lilac Purple
  • Hydrangea Blue
  • Spring Breeze Green
So now that we have the eggs and the outfit; let's add some spring decor!

Pom pom garland-This is simple; string spring colored pom poms together some fun spring color.

Paper Flower Jar

What you need:
  • Paper in spring colors
  • Hole punchers (I used different kinds; I used the circle, heart, flower and butterfly)
  • Small clear jar
  • Green pipe cleaners (or any color I guess)
  • Scrapbook or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Tape
  • Pencil
  1. Cut circles out of the scrapbook paper. Because I can't draw perfect circles, I used a CD.
  2. Cut a spiral in the circle, so the paper will now be a spiral
  3. Roll the end of the spiral on a pencil. It'll be easier to roll after a little while. Keep rolling until the spiral looks kind of like a spiral rose. Tape the paper in place
  4. Make a few more roses and attach them to a pipe cleaner.
  5. Cut holes in spring colored paper using the hole punchers. Put the punches in the jar. Finish by putting the flowers in the jar
 Spring Flower Ceiling Decor

  1. Cut a rectangle of tissue paper. Fold a bit of the bottom of the paper towards the top
  2. Flip the paper over and turn it so the folded part is on the top. From the already folded space. fold again making sure the folded part is on the top of the paper
  3. Flip and turn the paper again so it was in the same position as it was before. Repeat the first three steps until you can't fold anymore and staple the fold in the middle
  4. Cut the edges of the strip so both sides are rounded.
  5. Position your fold so the side with all the pieces of paper is facing up. Grab the edges of both sides of the staple on the left side, pull them to the center, and tape them into place, do the same with the right side.
  6. Use a needle or pencil or something to poke a hole in the top of the flower and tie a string there so it can be hung on the ceiling

If these instructions sound confusing, please PM me (my FABC username is Fuffeedoo1). I was unable to take pictures, but if you PM me, I'll send you the pictures.

So, here's the badge.

Fly with you later! My next post will be next week.
