Camp Pixie Dust 2018 Week 5-Camp Treats

Fly with you pixie campers! Hope you all are having so much fun during camp! Last week, I feel like my belief in magic had strengthened. I remembered all the magical moments that happened during my life.

Now it's time for TREAT WEEK! And what better talent to celebrate than baking talents?

Summer isn't right without sweet summer treats! One obvious example are s'mores. Another example is ice cream. I'm going to eat some ice cream sandwiches this week and make popsicles. You can buy popsicles, or make them using popsicle molds. My favorite is the strawberry popsicles with chocolate chips inside. We make them every summer, but I hope to try new flavors. Popsicle recipes can be found online or in cookbooks.

Anyway, let's talk about more camp memories. 2010 introduced interactive meadow activities. First, Berry Ball in Neverfruit Grove was introduced, where you'd click on the blueberry basket in hopes of getting it in the hoop. Next, there was a cricket chorus in the Pumpkin Patch and a Rock, Paper Scissors station in Cottonpuff Field. You'd click on the counter in the Rock, Paper Scissors station. There was also Bee's Eye in Dewdrop Vale and Tic Tac Toe in Cherryblossom Heights. And finally, the ice rink was added to Snowcap Glade. You'd also earn a badge by doing an activity six times.

After camp ended, the activities with an exception of the Cricket Chorus and Rock Paper Scissors were kept. However, Berry Ball was removed in early 2012 to make room for the Pixie Post Office. Also, the camp ice rink decorations returned in 2012 and 2013.

Now before we close this off, as always, here's a Lyria tale from 2010.

The Great Berry Battle

Listen now to a story about the power of friendship.
Not long ago a great battle occurred.
Between chipmunks and hummingbirds.
How did it start?
The story varies.
But both sides ended up throwing berries!
Soon all the animals joined the fight.
The battle grew worse, by day and by night.
Till a most unusual friendship began.
Between Twitter the hummingbird ...
... and a chipmunk named Nan.
Both were so young, they just wanted to play.
Then a giant red hawk attacked them one day!
The Great Berry Battlers instantly stopped.
They had to save Twitter and Nan from the hawk!
The chipmunks and hummingbirds joined together ...
... and chased that hawk away forever!
So the Great Berry Battle came to an end ...
... because a chipmunk and a hummingbird became friends.

And here's this week's camp badge.
