May Events

Animal Mother's Day-5/6 to 12

Being an animal mother is hard work! That's why the animal talents created this holiday to celebrate them. Most years, the animal mothers get a day off, so we get to take care of them! How cute and fun! Flowers are a traditional decoration for this day because it is spring now!

Here's an event timeline on how this event changed:
2010-The event began
2011-Players could take care of the animals
2012-A kitten was added and pets could be able to find cat ears
2013-Special silly sweets were added to Harmony's

Event Activity

Make a card for your real mother, or anyone you appreciate with a piece of paper. You simply fold it both ways and draw a line on the folds. On the bottom right section, write a sweet message.

Turn the paper around so the top rows will be on the bottom. Draw an image for the front of your card on the bottom right square and draw a tiny icon on the bottom left one if you want.

Finally, fold your paper hamburger style (make sure you can see the pictures of course) and fold it again so the front of your card is facing up. 


Great Games-5/13 to 26

The Great Games is one of Pixie Hollow's most celebrated events. It's just a simple, fun holiday all about playing talent games. I have a game; it's a scavenger hunt on FairyABC! Stages 1 and 2 are already posted.

Event Activity

Participate in my Great Games challenge! Or at least participate in some of it if too busy. All those games can be found in the FairyABC game center.

Princess Week-5/27 to 6/2

Princess Week is a recently established tradition meant to pay tribute to our Disney Princesses. It was meant to be an extension of the Great Games. Only this time, the challenges are more princessy. Each talent is assigned to a team. If I had time, I'd create badges for each team but I couldn't. But here are the teams:

Light talent-Team Rapunzel
Garden talent-Team Aurora
Water talent-Team Ariel
Animal talent-Team Cinderella
Tinker talent-Team Tiana
Frost talent-Team Elsa

Each day, there would be a challenge. Here are my challenge ideas. If they were never available on Pixie Hollow, I'd do what the challenge would be on the game. Each day has different challenges.

Day 1:
Snow White-apple pie eating (in game: berry gathering because apples aren't an ingredient)
Rapunzel-painting (I think Pixie Hollow should have an art studio)

Day 2:
Cinderella-tailoring
Aurora-dream remembering (a challenge I've got in the bag!)(in game: putting any type of pillow or blanket in your house)
Belle-table etiquette (in game: enjoying a meal in the Tearoom)

Day 3:
Ariel-fish racing (in game: playing Bubble Bounce)
Moana-a singing contest! (in game: Snowy Lullaby)

Day 4:
Jasmine-flying carpet race, because we have pixie dust! (in game: putting any kind of carpet in your home)
Mulan-martial arts (in game: while it doesn't have combat of any kind, I guess I'll add the willderness)

Day 5:
Pocahontas-boat racing (in game: gathering meadow grass I guess)
Tiana-baking

Day 6:
Merida-Bee's eye

Day 7:
Frozen-Ice skating in Snowcap Glade
Disney Princess Trivia Challenge

So if you were to complete a challenge in its respective day, you'd earn a point for your team. The winning team would get a special honors badge.


Monthly Activity

Even though it's still spring, face it. We're all ready for summer. Take a screenshot of your fairy all ready for summer. If you message it to me on FairyABC (my username is Fuffeedoo1) I might feature it on next month's post.

Full Moon Information

While buds have blossomed in April, May is when the flowers really start to bloom. The flower moon is on May 18th this year.

Fashion Frenzy

For animal mother's day, animal related outfits are just perfect:

Both of mine are orange and brown. But your look doesn't have to be.

For the Great Games, wearing the uniform in your talent color is just perfect.

The Great Games is also a popular time to try a new hairstyle. I remember in 2009 when fairies were styling girly curls, pigtails and buns to go with their uniform. I really like how my curly hair looks with the headband actually.

For Princess Week, just dress like a princess and wear a tiara! Some fairies even like to cosplay as a princess during that time.

And finally, the whole month of May is all about girly fashions made of flowers as well as bright natural colors. 

Pixie Horoscope

Aries-Starting in the middle of the month, there should be a lot of passion, emotion and will.

Taurus-This month will be a strong one. There should be strong new beginnings coming to the surface. Expect new ideas and a pleasant social experience as others will be attracted to you. Later this month, relations with other people will be strong and prominent. Just don’t forget about yourself. Teachers and writers should have it well at the end of the month.  

Gemini-This month will start off with strong friendships, especially in groups. When it comes to thinking, there should be a desire to be absolutely certain. Later in the month should come various new ideas coming to the surface. 

Cancer-This month should be one in which the emotions begin to stabilize early on. You’ll also gain courage and motivation. Later on, emotions should be very, very powerful. The later part will be great for independent thinking.  

Leo-This month, relations with other people and things should be powerful and passionate, specifically in the earlier part. There should also be flexibility to new people and experiences. 

Virgo-This month should be a stable one. The mind should be stable and relations should be slow but harmonious. This month won’t be the quickest, but it’ll hopefully be relaxing. Late in the month will be great for dealing with someone in a “higher position” than you.

Libra-This month will likely start off tense. It’s a good time to remember to be patience and true fulfillment can’t be rushed. The other half should be slower and more stable. The later part of this month is also a great time for thinking.  

Scorpio-This month will be prominent on the other people in your life. You may meet someone new. Connections with others should be harmonious. As the month goes on, emotion will likely increase. Try not to let it interfere with rationality. The later part should have a very powerful moment. This is a great time for research.

Sagittarius-The earlier part of this month will be a great time for being creative and expressing yourself. It’s also a great time to be social. The later part will be great for practical interactions with other people.

Capricorn-This month should be a stable one. There will be a strong desire to be absolutely sure. May will be the slow and patient kind of month. However, one on one connections with people might not be the most harmonious. Try to focus on being patient with others rather than aggressive. Late in the month should be great for work and school.

Aquarius-This month should be a creative one, especially when it comes to social media, writing, thinking and communication. Thinking will be very good again at the end of the month.

Pisces-Be careful when it comes to aggression and over emotion this month. You should gain courage, but be careful with it. Luckily, this month should possess a very powerful moment and a lot of learning (particularly in the home) at the end of the month.
